Dr. Dev Venugopal Joins FryeCare Cardiology

Venugopal brings nearly 20 years of experience diagnosing and treating complex heart rhythm disorders. Fellowship-trained in cardiac electrophysiology, Venugopal specializes in advanced cardiac ablation procedures to treat atrial fibrillation (AFib), premature ventricular contractions (PVC) and ventricular tachycardia (VT). Venugopal uses advanced technology to perform cardiac procedures, including pulse field ablation (PFA). In addition, Venugopal offers his patients advanced cardiac device therapies, including left bundle branch (LBB) pacing and biventricular (BiV) defibrillators.

Venugopal earned his medical degree from Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medicine (JIPMER) in Pondicherry, India. He completed internal medicine residency through the University of Washington School of Medicine in Spokane and pursued advanced fellowship training in cardiac electrophysiology at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis and the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. During his career, Venugopal has held faculty appointments at leading academic medical institutions, coming to Frye Regional most recently from Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville as an assistant professor.
