Leverne Fox Jr., MD

Leverne Fox, Jr. is a board-certified cardiologist specializing in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease, and interventional cardiology. A native of Boone, North Carolina, he diagnoses and treats coronary artery disease, peripheral vascular disease and other complex cardiovascular conditions. Dr. Fox performs diagnostic and interventional procedures including cardiac catheterization, coronary angiography, angioplasty, atherectomy, stenting, cardioversion and peripheral vascular interventions. His expertise also includes noninvasive cardiac testing, pacemaker and implantable cardioverter-defibrillator (ICD) management, echocardiography, nuclear stress testing and vascular ultrasound. Dr. Fox focuses on prevention, early diagnosis and advanced treatment to help patients achieve better cardiovascular health. He earned his medical degree from the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, completed his internship at Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital in Greensboro, North Carolina, and completed his fellowship at University of Florida in Jacksonville, Florida.
