Michael Simhachalam, MD

Dr. Michael Simhachalam, board-certified sports medicine physician, helps athletes and active individuals recover from injuries, prevent future problems and maintain peak performance. He specializes in evaluating and treating sports-related injuries, sprains and strains, tendinosis, joint disorders, fractures and sports concussions. Dr. Simhachalam uses musculoskeletal ultrasound and ultrasound-guided procedures to provide precise, minimally invasive treatment when appropriate. He also provides sports physicals, sports nutrition guidance and individualized treatment plans focused on injury prevention, recovery, strength and mobility. Dr. Simhachalam earned his medical degree from Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska, and completed both his residency and sports medicine fellowship at Self Regional Medical Center in Greenwood, South Carolina.
