Niranjana Chellappa, MD

Niranjana Chellappa is a board-certified pulmonologist, providing comprehensive care for adults with a wide range of pulmonary conditions, including COPD, asthma, interstitial lung disease, sleep disorders and lung cancer. Dr. Chellappa specializes in advanced diagnostic procedures, including navigational bronchoscopy, endobronchial ultrasound (EBUS), and transbronchial cryobiopsy, helping support earlier and more accurate diagnosis of lung disease. She also cares for critically ill patients with respiratory failure, shock and other complex conditions. Fluent in English, Tamil, Hindi, and Telugu, Dr. Chellappa is committed to delivering compassionate, evidence-based care that empowers patients to take an active role in their health. She earned her medical degree from Sri Ramachandra Medical College and Research Institute in Chennai, India, completed her internal medicine residency and served as chief resident at Trinity Health Ann Arbor Hospital in Ypsilanti, Michigan, and completed her fellowship in pulmonary and critical care medicine at Jefferson Einstein Philadelphia Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
