Niranjana Chellappa, MD

Niranjana Chellappa is board-certified in pulmonary, critical care and internal medicine. She evaluates and treats COPD, asthma, interstitial lung disease, sleep disorders and lung cancer. Dr. Chellappa performs advanced diagnostic procedures, including navigational bronchoscopy, endobronchial ultrasound (EBUS) and transbronchial cryobiopsy, to support timely and accurate diagnosis. She also cares for critically ill patients with respiratory failure, shock and other complex medical conditions. Fluent in English, Tamil, Hindi and Telugu, Dr. Chellappa helps patients understand their diagnosis and treatment options. She earned her medical degree from Sri Ramachandra Medical College and Research Institute in Chennai, India, completed her internal medicine residency and served as chief resident at Trinity Health Ann Arbor Hospital in Ypsilanti, Michigan, and completed her fellowship in pulmonary and critical care medicine at Jefferson Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
